snip, snip

Yesterday, Carly got her first haircut. Yes, that's right she's 3 and just now getting her first haircut. Shawn wasn't ready for his little girl to get a haircut until she turned 3. I had to work pretty hard to convince him that she needed one. Really, it was just a trim not really a "cut". She did pretty well and stayed still for much longer than I was expecting.

Thank goodness for PBS cartoons to keep her attention while I cut.
All done. See all you worrywarts, we didn't cut that much off. Just a good trim.

I would expect nothing less than a free home cut for Shawn's daughter!

Good job, Mom! It looks great! I'm amazed she held so still.

So cute! This makes me feel much better b/c I keep feeling like I need to get Sophie's hair cut but I just can't bring myself to do it. I guess I can wait another two years.

I also meant to comment on your energy crisis - so crazy! Glad you guys are such "pioneers" and could handle that with grace!!

Hi, Rachel,
Carly is so cute with that cheesey grin. She makes me laugh. Cartoons for a distraction is the way I've been cutting hair for years. --Love, MOM
