This summer, we have discovered that Isaac is a HUGE fan of corn on the cob. We've been able to enjoy it many times recently. I've also decided that making him share a cob with Carly is not best for sibling relations, and besides, he can totally eat an entire cob by himself. He actually doesn't seem to care about any other food that we're having for dinner--he just wants the corn. And it does seem that he prefers his corn on the cob rather than off. He likes it either way, but gets so excited when he sees the bowl of corn on the cob make it to the table. Actually he gets excited in the grocery store when he sees me picking out a few ears. Too bad growing corn in SE Alaska is so difficult. I'm sure some master gardener out there could do it, but that's not me. I can do lettuce and rhubarb.

It is cute to see Isaac enjoying his corn on the cob so much! I agree--on the cob is even yummier than off.
Isaac looks so boyish with his new haircut. He doesn't look so baby anymore! Cute.
I'm impressed you can grow rhubarb. I can't it's to hot.
I tried corn last year but I didn't get any ears, because I don't think it got enough water at the right time. The stalks did make nice fall decorations on my front porch, so it wasn't a total waste.
Cute kid. Eric wonders if he eats the corn around the cob or across like a typewriter. He thinks it's funny that we eat around the cob.
Hmmm, I haven't noticed which way he eats it--around or typewriter style. Carly eats her the correct way--around--so as to not drip any butter of course. Only those "married in" family members eat their corn the wrong way (typewriter style).
I'll watch Isaac tomorrow night--we're having corn and king salmon.

I just love the way Carly says that. Good job Isaac. What a big boy he is. Love, MOM
ahahaha. Those pics of Issac are great! He's truly going to town eating that corn. =)
