Extended Adventures

First of all, I realize I let Tuesday pass this week.  My apologies if you were looking forward to a tasty recipe, but celebrating Independence Day this week threw me off a bit.  And then I decided it would be better to separate two food posts with a non-food post.  You know, keep things from getting too predictable.  So I present to you today a post with no food, but plenty of pics of cute kids....

**************************
This summer we're hosting several rounds of visits from our extended family.  They all hail from the "lesser 48" and are in need of their Alaskan fix.  So far we've Shawn and his brother took their dad on a successful bear hunt in May and we had a really nice visit with my brother, Eric.

The photos in today's post are from a little adventure we took with Eric.  We walked our beloved Airport Dike Trail one dry afternoon.  It may not have been warm or particularly sunny, but whenever it's not raining we call that a nice day here in the temperate rain forest of southeast Alaska.
And as I usually do, I could resist snapping a few pics to commemorate the adventure.  I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out, especially of the little man (#2).  He's getting so big, eh?
And the little babe is also growing in size and attitude. :)  He really does like his uncle more than this picture makes it look though.

See what I mean?  What a big kid! :)

Hope you're having memorable and fun adventures lately too.
