The Fireworks

In Juneau, we start the 4th with fireworks. The show begins at 11:59 PM on July 3rd. So I think that makes Juneau's fireworks show the first in the nation. It was a pretty good show this year. Isaac was mesmerized and really liked it. Carly finally enjoyed the fireworks this year. In the past the noise has been too much for her and she can't really enjoy the show. I think it also helped that she had a friend, Morgan, to watch with. She was pretty excited to see the Vaughn family at our "usual spot" when we got their. I was just glad that Shawn actually had the night off! It was the first time that we've lived in Juneau that he didn't have to work the fireworks and then sleep through the parade, which means totally missing the holiday. So having one part of the holiday where he didn't have to work, was fabulous.
The family. Isaac wasn't asleep at all. He must have just closed his eyes from the flash. He was quite awake for 12:30 AM!
