Such a Good Boy

I'm so thankful for a good little boy the other morning. Sister was already off to school, Daddy and Momma were busy cleaning things up in our living room/construction zone, and this little man stayed right in his Elmo chair with a snack, a drink, and a good show. It was so refreshing to have him STAY PUT for a period of time. The Lord knew just what we needed that morning.
I'm so thankful for our children.
What is something your kids have done recently that made you stop in your tracks to thank God for them?

Good for Isaac!
I was taking care of my friend's kids one afternoon recently when the kindergartener picked up a piece of paper, handed it to me, and said, "What does this say?" It was a scripture from John and I read it to her. She looked at me with big eyes and said, "Hey, can we memorize it?!!" So sweet. Thank you God for her eagerness to write your Word on her heart.
I asked her 3-year-old brother what they are going to do for Thanksgiving and he said, "We're giving money, and I'm giving away my (Curious) George jacket!" Nothing about turkey and pumpkin pie--just about giving to others because God has given so much to us. Wow.

Very cute, big boy!

Yesterday Sophie and I were leaving Walmart (it was a rare Mommy-Sophie trip) and she said from the back seat, "Mommy, you know what?" I said, "What?" She said, "I love you!" MELTS YOUR HEART. And you vow in that moment to never say a cross word to your child again. =O)

I was especially thankful this morning that Eli went down for a nap without a fuss. He woke up just before 5 this morning and tossed and turned in bed with us until 7 a.m. He was up and ready to go and I was feeling pretty crummy. By 9:00 he was ready for a nap and I was able to get one, too. Praise God for little blessings :)
