To Serve and Protect *UPDATED*

Last week, we went to Lee's formal swearing in ceremony. He was officially sworn in about two weeks ago now, but they put off the formal ceremony until last week when two other new officers were starting. Lee is already getting in the groove of his new department and we're enjoying having him around. He's been a big help to me around the house and with the kids. I must apologize to Shannon, my sister in law, for pulling him away from their neighborhood in Oklahoma. I know she wasn't very happy to loose him to Juneau, but we're all happy that he is enjoying being in Alaska.
*UPDATE*
I forgot to mention earlier that when Carly woke up early last Monday morning, we reminded her that we were going to the police department. Somehow Carly got the swearing in ceremony confused with a Dora the Explorer episode and thought that rather than becoming a Juneau Police Officer, Lee was about to "become a true princess". We thought it was pretty funny and didn't correct her. Then after the ceremony she told Lee that he was now a true princess. We couldn't have scripted it any better.
***
Best of luck, Lee, as you serve and protect the people of Juneau.

Yes, Shannon couldn't talk about it for a few days.

Who knew that Lee owned a suit?

Isn't he supposed to protect the bears also?
