On Thursday, the windy, rainy weather had me in the mood to hunker down on the couch for the evening. So I suggested to the kids that we have a movie night. Of course, they thought that was a great idea. And being that Isaac loves popcorn as much as he does, it was the obvious movie snack.Last week, Shawn and I went to a movie, and we brought back the remnants of our bag of popcorn. So when Carly realized that our little movie night was going to be at home and not at the theater, she was quite bummed. I asked her why she wanted to go to the theater, and she said it was because she wanted popcorn in a bag. So I told her we could put some in a bag at home.
"But, Mom. I want it a pretty bag that's all decorated like your guy's was."
"Well, we can decorate our own bags, " I told her. Then I got out three paper lunch bags and encouraged her to get her markers and go to town.
She thought that was a pretty good idea and went to work. I think her bags turned out even better than the movie theater's. After all, she even used stickers on hers!

I gave Carly the choice of Toy Story or Bambi. I thought Bambi would be appropriate since Shawn is hunting, but she chose Toy Story. We had such a good time that we did a movie night last night too. But this time, I took them to Blockbuster in the afternoon and they picked out Madagascar. That was a pretty good movie. It even made me laugh a bit.

Great idea, Mom!
How fun!
Beware of the Madagascar movie. I know a certain boy (Justin) when he was little saying things like "Hoover Dam" in bible class when he got upset about something. Needless to say his mother told his father to take him out and wash his mouth out with soap. Because all mom heard was the last word. After dad got a chance to talk to him and got to the bottom of the story he didn't get in trouble.
I haven't been on the internet for awhile so I had a lot to catch up on! I think my absolute favorite is the picture of Isaac with the ducky in the toilet. Pretty classic! Luke was telling me about those SPOT locator things right before he left without one... interesting. I didn't know you could post messages to them. I don't know what you have going on tomorrow, but I'm off work. Maybe I'll try to give you a call at some point. The t-shirts are turning out great!
