Hair Growth

Well, I mentioned the upcoming posting of this topic.  And then without even thinking about it, I gave it all away in this post.  The funny thing is we got 8 comments on that post and EVERY one of them had something to do with "the mustache".  Yes, folks.  It's real.  He's been growing this for a while now.  I guess you could say I'm getting used to it.  When it all began, I didn't put my foot down or anything, but I didn't really think he'd go this long with it.  It's not really my favorite, but I don't think he's going to keep it around forever, but I guess I better not count my chickens before they've hatched.  (Ha, chickens!)
To be honest, he really doesn't have that many supporters of his mustache.  But his co workers think it's pretty great--or so he says. :)  Apparently, there are several now that are growing mustaches as well.  Who knew he'd be a trend setter of sorts?

He's SO looking forward to wearing these sunglasses this summer.  And he keeps bringing up his favorite movie line when conversation turns to his mustache.
It's from an older Clint Eastwood movie (he can't remember the name).  Clint Eastwood walks into a restaurant to discover it's in the middle of being robbed.  This is the conversation he has with one of the robbers.
"Well, we're not just gonna let you walk on out of here."
"Who's 'we' sucka?"
"Smith, Wesson, and Me."

Such a tough guy! :)

I just have my fingers crossed that he'll shave before the baby is born.  I don't want this poor child to be "the one" that has the weird birth pictures with daddy's mustache.  I'm currently looking for good opportunities to make bets with Shawn about when to shave.  Bets that I think I'll win, of course. :)

I'm not a fan of his mustache either, but then I'm not living with him. I can't remember if I liked Bill's goatee right away, but I won't let him get rid of it now. It even has a few gray hairs in it.

The quote is from the movie "Sudden Impact".

Hope he shaves it soon, for all your sakes! And you're right about baby #3, the poor thing would always have to see pics of Shawn's mustache in the birth and infant pictures :-(

I'm sure Shawn knows this, but its kind of creepy looking!

Love it...."Uncle Rico"

I would have to say I'd be scared if I ran into Shawn with this stach and sunglasses.

I didn't like David's goatee at first, now when he shaves it off I think he looks funny.

You gave me a good laugh this morning. Thanks

With the Aviator shades, Shawn would make a good addition to Reno 911! Say it ain't so! Say it ain't so!

I think he should trim the middle and let the ends grow long. Then let the back of his grow a little. So is Lee growing one?

I had not checked the blog in a few days and then I saw it...the return of the abomination above the lip. I am in agreement that thing needs a name. In this way it will help dissociate any negativity away from Shawn and the negativity can be directed at the object itself...I suggest the name
