New Pets
Over the weekend, we got a few new additions to our home. We're not the proud caretakers of 5 goldfish! Here they are sharing the breakfast table with the kids. Fortunately, we had a goldfish about three years ago, so we still had all the supplies for the fish. I hadn't ever gotten rid of the stuff because I always hoped we'd get more.
We got our fishies at the boat show over the weekend. What a crazy, fun time the kids had there. This little guy thought getting on every boat was as good as riding all the rides at an amusement park. And guess what? No lines! He would hop into the drivers seat on each boat and give the wheel a spin. He's SOOOO ready for being on the boat this summer.
The highlight--for our little girly at least--was the fishing station for kids. A local pet shop in town had this inflatable filled with water and goldfish and let each kid "fish". Daddy helped but all total, they caught 5 fish! They were very proud of themselves.

Our little girly was so excited to carry the bag of fish too. She saw other kids carrying their bags while we were looking at boats and she wanted to go right away and find the fish. I told her we would go find the fish right before we left so we didnt' have to carry the bag around too long. But that was her master plan! She wanted to carry her bag of fish around.
The good news is that after 5 days, we still have 5 goldfish! We'll see how long this lasts!

Um, does Shawn really have a mustache?!
I'm glad your kids are enjoying the fish. Fish are one of the very few pets I'd consider having :-)
Looks like fun was had by all. Carly looks so proud of her pets.
Who's that guy in those pictures with the kids? You may want to lay off having them pose with strangers. Next thing you know they'll walk off with one.
Isaac looks like such a big boy in these pictures. He's growing up.
Is that a REAL mustache on Shawn?

Shawn needs to name his mustache. When Ben and Josh Stutzman had mustaches together, they named them Smokey and The Bandit. How about "Uncle Rico" or "Chuck Norris"?
Good luck with the goldfish, but I couldn't get past Shawn's mustache.
I have to say, I'm right there with the mustache comments... Is he undercover at the moment, or you probably can't say... ;)
We tried to go to the boat show- but when Luke was checking it out online, he saw some bogus website that said it was free this year, so we didn't bring any $$. All I have to say is that we had one very disappointed little boy, BUT no goldfish...

The "mustache" is very cop-ish. With a pair of sun glasses, some leather chaps, and a quick pole dancing class, Shawn could moonlight as an exotic dancer.
With that said, don't shave! Stick to guns and prove people wrong!
