Rookie Season

This spring our family participated in the tee ball division of our city's little league.  The Little Miss has been asking to play tee ball for nearly a year now.  So this year we made sure to get her signed up plenty early to try out this new sport.  She was placed on the Royals and had a great coach and teammates to play with.

These photos were taken a few weeks ago at her game, but this past weekend was actually her final game of the season.  And it was quite possibly her personal best!  She did a great job hitting and throwing the ball.  And she did it all during a virtual heat wave for Juneau--our high was at least 86 a few hours after the game.  While other kids were wilting with the heat, our Little Miss was playing her heart out.  Way to go!

She's not certain yet if she wants to play again next year, but she did a great job this year.  And we're proud of her for being confident enough to try something new.
Now for a month of rest before soccer season starts.  Whew!  Although if you know us, you know there won't be that much rest. :)
