Chicken Love

Our little babe has developed a deep love for our backyard flock.  He LOVES being outside with them.

He recently figured out how to slip his boots on, unlock the back sliding glass door, open the door, and slink down the back steps.  He does all of this in "stealth mode" too.  And once he gets outside he always makes a bee-line for chicken coop.  He just thinks being outside and being with his "bock-bocks" is the best place to be.
In April, we had some fantastic weather--unlike our May weather :(.  It was warmer than usual, not hot, but gorgeous and sunny more often than not.  You can see in these pictures that it was so sunny and warm this day that Irene, one of our buff orpington chickens, was sunning herself on our back step.  That's a favorite place for our chickens on a warm day when we let them roam the yard.  She was so comfortable this day that she didn't even get up when the little babe encroached on her space.  Maybe she could feel his love. :)

The last one where he's laying down petting the chicken is adorable. Looks like they are pals.

Super cute. I laughed out loud at "stealth mode" and your italics on feel the love. Hilarious and sweet.
