Carseat

Last night I pulled out the infant carseat that we used for Isaac (and Carly too) so I could get it cleaned up better. We quit using it right before we went down to Oregon, and it got forgotten about and set out in the shop after we got back. So I decided to give it some attention before putting it away for real.

Isaac also turned 11 months old on Sunday. So I guess technically he is only a baby for one more month. He has grown SO much--even though he was plenty big enough to begin with. Check out these pictures of him at 11 months and then 1 day old--leaving the hospital.

And he's done!

Carly felt like posing too.

Here's Carly at almost 3 1/2 years old and 1 1/2 weeks old--her first trip to church.
Wow, they really do grow like weeds!

It is already hard for to see how fast they grow.
I feel like a bad mom looking at these though - you had Isaac so nicely dressed to come home from the hospital...and Carly for church. Ella wore a onesie home from the hospital AND a onesie to church...well I take that back...it was a little dress but not a fancy one at all. No shoes have ever touched her feet. Sigh.

hmmm.....

preparing a carseat....for an INFANT.

Does that mean you are planning to use it again in the near future????

Hmmm...

Ok, anonymous/"mystery" blogger. I am not preparing the carseat for another infant. I'm just preparing it to do battle with the mold that likes to grow on things in SE Alaska. No near future plans to use it again.

And nicole, don't worry about the shoes. I love bare baby feet. It's just a little too cool generally for my kiddos. Plus, they were born in spring and fall, so they needed something on their feet. With both kids I bought one special outfit, that was for coming home from the hospital and the first trip to church. I guess I just wanted one special outfit for each of them.

Thanks, Rachel. I have some sweet outfits but they won't fit until Ella is bigger! That day will come sooner then later, I'm sure. -- nicole
